No New Tutorials Today

Sorry, but no new tutorials today. I spent the remainder of yesterday and today working on my project, Eyes of Inashti. (Still not married to the name.) I made some good but slow progress. I have mobs working close to what I want. However, I’m having a problem with dragon fire and dragons attacking from the player’s left side. I have a goblin working the way that I expect. Although, he’s a little hard to kill. He’s tough and stands up to multiple fireballs. The dragon is nowhere near so resistant.

What’s Next?

I haven’t given it much thought, having worked so much on Eyes of Inashti. I think what will be next is another parallel tutorial between Eyes of the Dragon and A Summoner’s Tale. I would put the finishing touches on having conversations with players. After that, I would probably start on combat. That is where they will part ways. A Summoner’s Tale will have an old-school turn-based combat system. In comparison, Eyes of the Dragon will have a hybrid stop-and-go system.

My Projects

When it comes to my projects, my primary project continues to be Eyes of Inashti. However, I’m ninety-eight percent sure I’m changing that to Eyes of Ishanti. It just flows so much better and is easier for me to type. I think tonight; I will add another enemy. Maybe the ent, or possibly the bear. The bear looks cool, a real badass. The other I have to work on is climbing up to platforms.

Final Thoughts

It was great that I was able to spend as much time as I did with Eyes of Inashti. So it’s official. I’ve changed the name to Eyes of Ishanti. I just like it better out of the two. That said, I am going to spend a little time with it before winding down for bed. So, I wish you the best with your game programming adventures!
