It’s Time For The Weekend!

Yes, it is my second favourite time of the week—the start of the weekend. The only time I like better is the start of the week. Okay, the second part was an attempt at humour. I enjoy Sunday morning. It is a nice, quiet day, most often—a good day for tutorials and projects. Speaking of tutorials, shouldn’t I be writing one or something? I will start work on one after dinner. I just wanted to take a bit of time and decompress first.

What’s Next?

Why tutorial 13, also known as D, in A Summoner’s Tale will be next. It will be similar to tutorial 8 in Eyes of The Dragon 4.0. It will make the same updates to the forms and implement the file form. With so much of the code and writing done, it should be relatively quick to pump out. With my plans so quiet for tomorrow, I will finish it quickly.

My Projects

What am I going to do once I have finished the tutorial? Write another one? While that is entirely within the realm of possibility, I will be working on my game. I’ve been chomping at the bit all day to get to it. I will, without a shadow of a doubt, be working on it this evening. But, of course, I will also have to deal with some rather mundane tasks.

Final Thoughts

It’s over a month in, and I’m still writing tutorials. They say it takes thirty days to build a habit, and I feel like I’m there. Tutorials, plus my projects, have put the proverbial smile back on my face. I know why I stopped. I don’t know why it took me so long to realize what effect it was having on me not doing it. Other factors were also at play, and I eliminated those factors. They seemed good, but in the end, they were toxic. I wish you all the best with your game programming adventures!
