First, I took a break from writing tutorials last night. I did some work on Eyes of Inashti instead. I made some good progress on transitions between animations. I also got mods on that map. Mobs are affected by gravity. Finally, the player can kill mobs. They die instantly rather than transitioning to the death animation before dying.
What’s Next?
I did do a little work on A Summoner’s Tale 0F. I had to backtrack, though. I was cruising along updating the Eyes of the Dragon 3.0 tutorial on conversations when I realized I was completely ignoring iOS and Android. So, I have to go back and add support for those platforms. Once finished with A Summoner’s Tale, it will be very easy to move it to Eyes of the Dragon 4.0.
My Projects
It was great to put tutorials aside last night and focus on Eyes of Inashti. Unfortunately, though, I did miss the writing. It is hard to find a balance between the two. I like both equally. I should work on an interactive novel. That would be a marriage between the two. Anyway, I will probably spend the balance of my evening working on Eyes of Inashti. I want to get the transition from a live mob to the death animation and then fade off the screen.
Final Thoughts
It is a three-day weekend for me and next weekend too. I plan to be very productive over those six days. I want to finish two tutorials on both weekends and make good progress on Eyes of Inashti. Speaking of Eyes of Inashti, it is waiting for my attention. So, I wish you good luck with your game programming adventures.
