Well, no news is no news. So, what is the news? As far as tutorials are concerned, I need more time for the next one. I wanted to finish it this morning, but that didn’t work out. I had some surprise meetings that I had to do and get a website deployed. So, I’ve been in a hanging pattern since I finished work. I will be continuing to work on the tutorial this evening. However, I find the odds of finishing it rather low.
What’s Next?
If the never-ending tutorial will ever ends, I will be doing a new tutorial in A Summoner’s Tale. I will be adding the file form to that series. As far as the editor is concerned, the two will be highly parallel. What works in one will work pretty much unaltered in the other. To that end, I will also make similar changes to the controls in A Summoner’s Tale.
My Projects
I am itching. Literally, I have hives. No, I was just kidding. I am itching to get into Eyes of Inashti. I have the very basic project up and running. Also, I have a few fun animations: a scrolling background, expanding text flying out from the center of the screen, and a dissolving text effect. Sadly, very little regarding gameplay. I want to get the tile engine up and running and the player running and jumping. I think I have all of that in one of my GitHub repositories. I will have to check them out shortly.
Final Thoughts
Spam comments on the blog are getting annoying. Nothing that I can’t manage, though. It is just deleting them all and ensuring something valid doesn’t slip through the cracks. Since I returned, I’ve been very happy with the numbers on the blog. Thank you! I’m delighted to see what I write read. On that note, I’m going to move on to tutorials and game programming.
Good luck with your game programming adventures!
