Not Much Progress

So, I’m a big Magic: The Gathering fanatic, but I haven’t played in six years. I want to get back into it, and the nearest shop only offers friendly commander on Fridays. I got rid of a lot of my decks and cards, so I need to get enough cards to build a commander deck. I’ve been going through what I have trying to build something. I think I have a good base, but I need another thirty to forty cards. I’m trying to do it on the cheap. Anyway, that is how I spent my evening, instead of programming.

What’s Next?

Well, it goes without saying the next tutorial will be a Summoner’s Tale tutorial. This tutorial focuses on creating moves and monsters. I’m close to having creating moves done. I just need to add and wire the handlers for accepting and cancelling creating a move. That shouldn’t take too much longer. Things would go faster with a WYSIWYG editor like in Windows Forms. Instead, it is more like creating a GUI with Tkinter in Python.

My Projects

Shadow Monsters is giving me the cold shoulder because I have been ignoring her. I don’t blame her. She deserves more attention than she is getting. I’m only one woman, though. I can only pack so much into the day. I do want to cuddle up with her and spend a long evening talking to one another. She does deserve that and more than that.

Final Thoughts

I think I’ve milked the neglected wife thing for about all that I can. I will stop referring to my relationship with Shadow Monsters in that way. Still, I’ve found it an amusing way to look at it. I want to spend more time on it, but I want to do other stuff as well. I might have to come up with a rotation and work on my game Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. Do tutorials on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday. Fridays, I’m reserving for MTG. Anyway, I will be back tomorrow with another episode of game programming adventures.
