What’s Next?
I will be writing a new Forest Rush tutorial next. It will cover collision between the player and tiles. My plan is to have it up tomorrow. It will depend on several factors if that happens. Following that tutorial, I will start work on the combat engines for Eyes of the Dragon and A Summoner’s Tale. They will be dramatically different styles. A Summoner’s Tale will follow the engine from Pokemon Red and Green. Eyes of the Dragon will be a stop-and-go system.
My Projects
I will be continuing with Eyes of Ishanti. I did make progress last night. I got two new mobs rendering on the screen, a dinosaur and an ent. I will add a couple more this afternoon before moving to the map editor. I have a problem that I’m not sure what is going on, though. Some of my mobs are sinking on the tiles. I will have to investigate that.
Final Thoughts
Even if they are vastly similar, having two new tutorials up is great. It’s been a while since I posted something new. It has really lifted my spirits working on them and posting them. I needed this win. I will continue to make tutorials a priority and try to get at least two a week. I must say how your continuing visits have inspired me.
