So, there is not much new in terms of tutorials. I didn’t work on anything in that regard today. I was waiting for my work computer to arrive, and it did. I spent most of the day setting it up. It is okay in terms of specs. It is definitely a business laptop. It is a tenth-generation i7 processor. About half in terms of processing power compared to my Ryzen 7 laptop. I love this laptop. It is comparable to my desktop, which was top of the line five years ago. The only thing lacking on this laptop is the graphics card—still, incredible value for the money. Wow, I got really off track there. Back to tutorials, I probably won’t have time to work on anything until next weekend. I will still poke my head in and let you know how things are going.
What’s Next?
In terms of tutorials, the next tutorial will cover displaying character stats. Also, it will fix the bug where health and mana or stamina do not go up when you level up. I might also health the player when they level up. I haven’t decided on that yet. The other thing that I am looking at is skill trees. They will also be required when levelling up.
My Projects
As much as I would like to, I doubt I will have time to work on my own projects. I need to devote myself to my job, home life, and tutorials. So there isn’t really room for a fourth item in that list. I suppose I could incorporate Silver Prophet into Eyes of the Dragon and work on both simultaneously. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t be able to use the same graphics in both because I bought the ones for Silver Prophet, and I am not licensed to redistribute them. However, the more I think about it, the more I like the idea.
Final Thoughts
I am super excited to be starting my new role. It is just what the doctor ordered, literally. Unfortunately, though, it means a lot less free time. But, at least it is remote, so there is no commute on top of the workday. I am going to try and make some time for tutorials during my days. There is no guarantee of that, though. Also, I’m committing to keep posting on the blog, at least every other day. So, please keep visiting the blog for the latest news on my tutorials and other goodness.
