Another MonoGame RPG Tutorial 49 Update

I thought I would give you a quick status update on MonoGame Tutorial 49. I have worked on it a bit, but I am far from finished. It doesn’t look like I will finish it today. I was looking at my lesson for tomorrow, and I discovered I’m missing a good chunk of code from it. I will need to redo it, and that is going to take most of the evening. I hope to be finished my lesson preparations today, though and will have most of tomorrow to work on the tutorial.

What’s Next?

First, I will be working on finishing tutorial 49 in the Eyes of the Dragon series. This tutorial continues with the combat engine. It fixes a few minor issues I found during testing, and it covers adding in some status text. But, for now, the text is pretty rudimentary, I hit you, and then you hit me affair. I will be extending it, though, to include more information. The system can also be used in other areas of the game.

My Projects

I haven’t worked on my projects at all, though I expect to soon have more time than anticipated. While I was offered a new position with a company, I expect my background check to be a bit of a sore spot. I highly expect them to come back and revoke their offer. If they don’t, I will be astonished. Then, I will return to work on Silver Prophet if that is the case. I will divide my time between working on my game and working on my tutorials.

Final Thoughts

I had planned on working on a tutorial today. However, with the loss of the important code and having to rewrite it, I have to do that first. I expect more free time coming up in a couple of weeks, so I expect tutorials to start flowing more freely.
