So, I had a crash today. Only way to recover was to recover Windows. For that reason, I did not get to tutorials today. I’ve got Windows reinstalled will all of my files but none of the software. First major piece of software to install was Visual Studio. I still have to install MonoGame though. I will be doing that next. First, I wanted to make a post before it got late.
What’s Next
So, part of tomorrow will be devoted to tutorials. More than originally planned because of the loss of today. I don’t know what I’m going to work on at the moment. I have a few ideas in mind, like the battle engine and equipping items. Equipping items might be first because the battle engine is dependent on having equipment. Will see what I decided on tomorrow.
My Projects
I did manager to get some work done on my projects before my computer went down. I’m happy with the copy for Quintessential Duels. However, I still have copy to write for three other games and two pages. I also did some graphic design but didn’t like what I came up with so I will be starting over. With the idea in mind I would have thought it would be easy but still it was challenging.
Tomorrow I want to wrap up the copy text and some of the graphic design. Ideally I’d like to finish both but I also have the tutorial to work on. I pride myself on being a good writer but copy writing has never come easy to me. Especially when I have to keep SEO in mind. I am more of a fiction girl, and a easy going tone.
Also, I did a bit of work on the Psibernetic Games website. Just some minor tweaking of the CSS and updating the copy text for Quintessential Duels. Overall I am happy with the site, and how fast a React site is. I am thinking of switching it to Gatsby to gave a blog available. I can do a blog with React, Gatsby is just better suited.
Final Thought
Rebuilding my laptop was an unexpected set back. It takes a while to get a computer setup just the right way from a fresh install. I’m still recovering programs. Fortunately I have a 5G connection and download times are lightning fast. I do swear humans spend half their life waiting on progress bars and traffic lights.
