What’s New
So, today I didn’t spend much time on tutorials. I did look at tutorial 23 again and everything should go smoothly but it isn’t going to be as easy as the others so far. It will be most difficult designing the form in the tutorial. There are a lot of controls. Also, there are some important differences between the old service container and the new one. Mostly they revolve around rendering. It is tempting to skip these tutorials and rely on you downloading the project from my blog or GitHub.
What’s Next
The plan for tomorrow is to work on tutorial 23. While it seems a fearless beast it won’t be that difficult to do it, just a lot of work. After that I will probably bounce to web game programming. While I won’t be writing a tutorial on how to create my engine I might write a tutorial on how to use it. Or, a tutorial on some of the inner mechanics. I would then come back to MonoGame and work on Eyes of the Dragon.
My Projects
I didn’t work on Quintessential Duels today. Also, I didn’t really work on Psi.io with much effort. I refactored a little and I fixed some style issues. I’ve been trying to work out how I’m going to handle touch input, since so many devices connected to the internet are phones or tablets. I can get the state if the touch panel but I’m having a hard time presenting that to the user. I am trying for a MonoGame like approach but there are differences between JavaScript and C# that are making it hard.
Final Thoughts
Today feels like a wasted day. I didn’t get much of anything accomplished, on tutorials, project, anything. Well, I did have to make adjustments to my Wellness Center site. I also watched some videos on Gatsby to see if it would fit into my plans for Psibernetic Games. It might but I’d have to redo a lot of work. I’d rather spend the time on other things.
So, keep coming back for more tutorials and other goodness.
