Finishing MonoGame RPG Tutorial 37

So, finishing MonoGame RPG tutorial 37 didn’t happen today. I ended up having other things that required my attention. When I did get to it there was more to change than I had originally thought there would be. I also had to poke around a bit at previous tutorials to find out where some code originated. I didn’t want to go a day without posting again. So, I thought I’d drop in and leave a quick update.

What’s Next

I do have somethings on the book for tomorrow morning but I should have time to devote to wrapping up tutorial 37 is the MonoGame RPG tutorial series. After this tutorial I will be working on a web based tutorial or two on creating a game engine. I’m considering using TypeScript instead of JavaScript for the tutorials. If I did do that I’d have to put them off.

My Projects

I had a meeting to go over my business plan, part of what kept me from tutorials today. The woman was happy with all of the hard work I put in and had some tough questions. She thinks my plan is realistic in terms of my goals, if I can stick to my timelines.

Final Thoughts

So, part of the day was spent configuring my new laptop. It is almost at the point I want it to be at. There is still some configuration and software installation to be done. It I’m still very impressed with it. Especially the NVMe SSD. It is leaps and bounds above my old laptop. Other than the graphics it rivals my old desktop, that is nearly 5 years old now. The laptop has a Ryzen 7 4700U processor and the desktop an i7-6900K. In the Passmark.com rankings they are one on top of the other.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I encourage you to keep visiting the blog for the latest news on my tutorials and other goodness.
