Eyes of the Dragon 14
I was originally going to work on the MonoGame For The Absolute Beginner tutorial, however I worked on porting another Eyes of the Dragon tutorial. So, I have just shared tutorial 14 in my Eyes of tee Dragon 3.0 series. This port from XNA to MonoGame goes back to the editors. I merged parts A and B of the tutorial into one. So, it is a little longer than I would like but not as bad as tutorial 11. It adds in the functionality for creating weapons, shield, armor and classes. The link to the tutorial is available on the Eyes of the Dragon 3.0 page of the web site. Also, it is available from this direct link.
What’s Next
It is good to see the Eyes of the Dragon tutorials go up. So, my next tutorial will be another Eyes of the Dragon tutorial. After that one I will flip back to MonoGame For The Absolute Beginner and finally do the animation tutorial that I have been thinking about. After that will be another Eyes of the Dragon tutorial followed by the HTML5/JavaScript tutorial that I have been planning on animation. Finally, in my planned queue of tutorials is another Eyes of the Dragon tutorial.
My Projects
I did work on my learning project and creating the web site for my game development company, Psibernetic Games. I’m learning a lot on the site is shaping up. It is built with ReactJS and is really fast. I’m currently developing the home page before moving on to the child pages. It is fully responsive, though it could use a little animation. That is on the wish list for now because I’m going for functional before eye candy. That means between web work and tutorial work Quintessential Duels didn’t get touched. That is all graphics work and I’m in no hurry to do that. I do want to add in a little eye candy but I’m not great and creating effect animations.
Final Thoughts
Progress has been great since Christmas and the new site. I am writing again, I am developing again and I am learning. The site looks great and numbers are starting to climb as far as readers are concerned. Increasing ratings in search engine optimization has been challenging. I will get there though. So, keep coming back to the blog for more tutorials and other goodness.
