So, I’ve been looking at adding a third tutorial series, though nowhere near as in-depth as a role-playing game. Though, a platformer can become humungous, just like a role-playing game. Indeed, many have role-playing elements. This series will be going more into real-time mechanics than what I have in mind for Eyes of the Dragon and A Summoner’s Tale.
What’s Next?
I think that the next tutorial will be A Summoner’s Tale tutorial. What I have in mind is starting to add characters for the player to interact with, such as shops and conversations. For that, I will first add some virtual buttons, probably four, as if it was a full virtual gamepad. They would be on the right side of the screen. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea. Then, I would do the same in Eyes of the Dragon.
My Projects
I think I figured out what I’m going to work on now. I have an endless runner that was working fairly well. It needed a bit of polish, though. Actually, it was more of an endless jumper. The player would jump from object to object, gaining points with each jump. When they missed an object and fell, the game was over. It sounds like the perfect little game to work on now.
Final Thoughts
So, no work on tutorials or my projects today. Tomorrow is another day, though, and I don’t have nearly the same demands on my time. So, I will work on one or the other, probably both. But now that I’ve been thinking about it, I want to pick up that endless jumper that I was working on and finish it. So, I will wish you a good whatever time of day it is for you.
Good luck with your game programming adventures!

P.S. I am not a programmer. I am an elctromancer. I bend electrons to my will and force them through complicated pathways to produce pleasing output, well, most of the time.
