Forest Rush. No, Not That Forest Rush

First, it has been a really long day. I did manage to finish a website I needed to finish, though. Also, I did some work on Forest Rush. No, not from the tutorials. It is an endless running that I was writing. Well, it was more of an endless jumper. The player would jump from gem to gem, collecting coins and hearts. It was an Android-only game, but I ported it to desktop today. Next, I will port it over to iOS as well. So, that means I spent no time on tutorials today. I will be getting back to them tomorrow.

What’s Next?

I had thought about doing A Summoner’s Tale tomorrow. But instead, I will be doing an Eyes of the Dragon tutorial. I might even do two, depending on how the writing goes. What I plan to cover is adding NPCs for the player to interact with. On top of that, I was thinking of adding the map editor. However, I want to do as little with editors as possible. So instead, I want to focus more on gameplay this time through.

My Projects

I have no illusions. Forest Rush is just a diversion. It is keeping me from working on Shadow Monsters and tutorials. I was getting burned out, though. I wasn’t getting anywhere and feeling overwhelmed, as far as Shadow Monsters was concerned. Forest Rush is fun, though. I’ve been trying to beat my high score, and every now and again, I do. I’ll share a video tomorrow after I’ve edited it.

Final Thoughts

I’m happy it is the weekend. I definitely need the break. It was pretty long with everything that I had to do outside of work. I will be back tomorrow with another game programming adventure.
