Sorry for ghosting

Sorry for ghosting you all. I’ve been rather busy with other projects and haven’t had time to write here or work on tutorials. I hope that, at a minimum, I will be posting daily again. It will be some time before I will be able to work on tutorials, however. I have a lot going on and don’t have the time to write a full-length tutorial.

What’s Next

When I get back to tutorials, which will be a while, I will be working on the next MonoGame RPG tutorial. That tutorial’s focus will be on equipping items. I have browsed OpenGameArt.org for some textures that can be used for our purposes. I don’t believe that they are share-alike resources do I will have to include links to the originals on OpenGameArt.org. Equipping items is really the last major piece before we can move on to the battle engine.

My Projects

I haven’t really had time for my projects, as well. I did suffer a major setback with Lost Fate. I was no longer able to run the project. Whenever I would try to run it, I would get the message that the website is unavailable. So, I started recreating the game over again but ran into the same problem. So, I started redoing it with a web API back end and a React front end. That was going okay. I did decide that I didn’t want a web-based solution. Therefore, I started recreating the game with a MonoGame front end, and a web API back end to reuse the back end code that I’ve written.

Final Thoughts

I’ve been rather busy outside of my projects and tutorials. I do hope to get back to both in the next couple of weeks. So, I encourage you to keep visiting the blog for the latest news on my tutorials and other goodness.
