What’s Next

I will be starting work on a new MonoGame For The Absolute Beginner tutorial this after noon. It will be on creating an Asteroids clone. It might be a multiple part tutorial. However, I want to try and keep it as a standalone tutorial. It will follow the same general direction as the last tutorial as it is important to try and follow solid practices to make the game easy to maintain.

My Projects

On the horizon for my projects is to continue on with my online courses and to work on my games. I am continuing to learn React so that I have more in demand front end skills. So far I am liking it and I am ready to start migrating my collectible card game Lost Fate. It is a hybrid between Yu-Gi-Oh!, Magic The Gathering and Hearthstone. Quintessential Duels is still my main focus so that I can fully release it. I made a program to shrink my assets from 512 by 512 and 256 by 256 to 128 by 128. It dropped the size of my APK in half! So, the lesson is use the smallest size that when scaled to different resolutions you are not getting any distortions.

Final Thoughts
