Eyes of the Dragon 3.0 Tutorial 11
I have just uploaded tutorial 11 in the Eyes of the Dragon 3.0 tutorial series to the web site. This, rather large tutorial at 72 pages, is the combination of parts 11a, 11b, and 11c of the old XNA tutorial series. The focus of this tutorial is on game editors. The link to the tutorial is on the Eyes of the Dragon 3.0 page of the site and can also be access using this link.
What’s Next
After that monster tutorial I need a break. So, I’m going to take a couple days off of writing. When I come back I am going to do the tutorial I have been wanting to do on sprite animation. I will also be porting an Eyes of the Dragon tutorial. As well, I am going to do a series on creating a tile engine in JavaScript. I’m rather proud of my creation and I want to share it. Keep an eye open for more tutorials over the next week.
My Projects
My main focus on my projects will continue to be Knight Watch. I’ve made significant progress and I don’t want to lose my momentum. I have my tile engine rendering correctly now. I needed to call setTransform for it to work with tile sizes other than the original image. Even passing a scale factor of 1 was enough to fix the issue.
Quintessential Duels has really taken a back seat because of Knight Watch. I will be circling back to it. Especially now that I’ve figured out banner ads and I don’t have to rely on interstitial ads appearing occasionally. I want to see it on itch.io and on Google Play.
Final Thoughts
Wow, this tutorial was long! Fortunately most of it was already written but I had to make edits and I made some upgrades here and there. I will need a bit of a recharge after this one but I have at least three tutorials in mind to work on afterwards. So,keep visiting the blog for more tutorials and other goodness.
