No, it is not what you are thinking. I was working, hard, I might add, on the next Eyes of the Dragon 4.0 tutorial last night. When the strangest thing happened. I could no longer add content to my shared project. I must have spent an hour trying to fix it. It was to no avail, though. I was unable to fix it. I ended up cloning the Git Hub repository and adding all of my changes back in.
What’s Next?
Well, as you might expect, it will be the next Eyes of the Dragon 4.0 tutorial. This tutorial covers character generation using the SPECIAL system, or at least a version of it. The code is nearly complete, leaving the writing. That always seems to take twice as long, oddly enough. Probably because it is more verbose. The following tutorial will also be an Eyes of the Dragon 4.0 tutorial.
My Projects
I haven’t made progress on Shadow Monsters. I was tempted to turn my back on Eyes of the Dragon to work on it, though. When I did work on it last, I was working on the world map. I do like the progress that I have made. It is just very slow going. Painting the world one tile at a time will take quite some time. I’m in no hurry, though. I just need to make certain to save often and make backups before making sweeping changes.
Final Thoughts
Other than being frustrated by having to redo a huge chunk of work, I’m pleased with the progress I made with the next Eyes of the Dragon 4.0 tutorial. I will wrap the tutorial up quickly and have it up on my Google Drive. On that note, I’m going to wrap this up. I will be back again tomorrow with another game programming adventure!
