Sorry I have been away. I’ve been busy with the app that I need to finish. I have been pouring my energy into it because it needs to be finished soon. For that reason, I have not worked on any tutorials. Not only that, I haven’t posted on the blog. Breaks are few and far between and when I get close to wrapping up for the night I don’t have the energy to blog. I thought I would make some time for the blog tonight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now that is a good question. I still want to do a tutorial on adding merchants to my MonoGame RPG tutorial series. Also, I want to do some HTML5 tutorials. I see the Shadow Monsters numbers are up so I want to add a few more tutorials into that series as well. The first tutorial I will be working on though is an Eyes of the Dragon tutorial. After that, I’m not sure what order I will be doing tutorials in. All three have their demand and I want to cater to all three readers. I am considering doing some video tutorials because I have the capacity to do that. The only thing that is holding me back is I don’t like the sound of my voice. I might experiment with one or two and see how they turn out. If I like them I’ll post them and continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My main focus has to be on the app I’ve been contracted to do. That is going to take a few weeks yet for a number of factors. The first being it is in another language and I need translation work done. Secondly, I need test data place into the temporary data repository so I can better test the app under load. It is quick enough with light data but I’m worried about performance under heavy load.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Once the app is complete I will be working on Lost Fate. I’ve been getting a better idea of how I want it to look and what technology stack I am going to use. For the front end, I’m going to use React. For the back end, I’m considering using NodeJS. Also, I will be using socket.io to connect multiple front ends for PVP. I’m going with React because I want to use React Native to port the game from web to mobile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, the app is keeping me busier than I anticipated. All of the meetings I’ve had this week haven’t helped either. I will be getting back to tutorials, as soon as workload permits. I’m also chomping at the bit to get to Lost Fate. I’ve been eagerly waiting to restart it and finish it.
