First, sorry for missing yesterday. Something kept me from writing on the blog, tutorials, and code. What little I did manage to get done, I will probably end up redoing it. It was far from a stellar day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On that note, today has been a much better day. I did some work on tutorials before work this morning. I picked up where the last two left off, generating conversations. I was also thinking of starting work on the conversation editor, but I might put it off a little longer, though. I had some weird things going on while I was working, and I’m afraid you might have similar problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Well, I was considering sliding in a Forest Rush tutorial. That will likely wait until after I’ve done the next Eyes of the Dragon and A Summoner’s Tale tutorials. I say both since they will run in parallel this time as well. After these two, they will diverge again. There will be a couple of pieces where they will parallel again but then will shoot off in different directions. It will most likely be the weekend before you see the tutorials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
My project continues to be Eyes of Ishanti. Yes, I’m more in love with the new name than the old name. What I ended up working on was perfecting the mobs a bit. I have the dragon almost perfectly working. The goblin was already good but is much better now. I will work on adding the bear next. After the bear, I need to revisit jumping. There are some things that just are not working during rigorous testing. Though, I’m not always able to reproduce the issue. Also, I moved from melee attacks to ranged attacks. The mobs are not a threat at all. The dragon could have been, but its flame attack is short-range. I haven’t found any long-range enemies in my assets yet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yesterday was a very drab day. Today, though, is much better. Except, the weather outside is very dismal. It will be nice when the weather and I agree again. But, unfortunately, I estimate another three months before that will happen. It does offer plenty of time indoors where I can work on projects and tutorials. On that note, I wish you well with your game programming adventures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
